Onions - Conventional
BOSTOCK New Zealand is one of New Zealand’s largest onion growers. Our onions are grown in the Hawke’s Bay region, which has fertile cropping soils originally delivered by the three rivers that cross the plains, perfect for producing high quality, flavoursome onions.
The New Zealand onion season begins in January with exports available through to August. The Early Long Keeper is the first variety type available followed by the Pukekohe Long Keeper. The combination of variety types extends the period of availability and manages risk profiles. As the names suggest, both varieties provide long storage and exceptional shelf life for our customers.
BOSTOCK New Zealand onions have Global GAP accredited production and BRC accredited post harvest handling process. Both protocols affirm full traceability and food safety from field to market.
We have leading edge technology to ensure our onions reach the consumer in the highest quality. Starting from the field, to grading harvested onions before storage, to high speed, high accuracy weigh scale complete with automated bagging, the onions are cared-for to optimize quality in the customers hands. We pack the full range of sizes from 35 to 105mm to meet customer requirements in markets around the globe.
