FORKLIFT OPERATOR
February – August
Forklift Operators move full and empty bins around the Coolstore, as well as finished packed products. Operators will load/unload trucks and load containers for export. Operators must have a current OSH Forklift Licence and driving experience in a Coolstore or similar environment and must drive in a safe manner at all times. Good eyesight is required for this role and operators need to be prepared to carry out daily machine checks. As this is a safety-sensitive role all applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol test prior to employment. Forklift operators are paid hourly.
Work requirements: Current OSH Forklift Licence, Valid visa or NZ citizenship, NZ bank account and IRD number, ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
Rates and hours: Rates are based on experience and the role. Work is generally, 5-6 days a week including weekends and extended hours are required during busy periods.
TALLY CLERK
February – August
Tally Clerks are responsible for receiving, tracking and dispatching all produce that arrives at the coolstore. This includes bins and pallets. A good level of computer literacy is essential and proven administration experience is an advantage. Reliable staff who have a good eye for detail will thrive in this role. The coolstore staff work as a close-knit, supportive team and the ability to communicate well with team members and contractors of all levels is highly valued.
